Loyalty Program Now Available in Japan For Google Merchant Center

Google has unveiled its loyalty program for merchants operating in Japan. This new initiative, integrated into the free listings feature, empowers merchants to offer redeemable points benefits to their customers across various Google platforms, including Search, Wallet, and Maps.

Merchants who list their products in Japan via free listings can now participate in this innovative program. Here are some key highlights of the offering:

  1. Enhanced Visibility: Through the loyalty program, merchants can prominently display their logos and details about the number of points customers can earn with each purchase. This visibility extends across Google surfaces, ensuring maximum exposure.
  2. Third-Party Integration: Merchants can integrate third-party loyalty programs or payment providers into their offerings via the Merchant Center. This allows for seamlessly incorporating various loyalty schemes, further enriching the customer experience.

Getting started with the loyalty program is straightforward:

  1. Navigate to your Merchant Center and access the Growth tab from the left-hand menu.
  2. Select “Manage programs” and locate the “Loyalty programs” card.
  3. Click on “Get started” to initiate the setup process.
