Previously back in 2020, we mentioned how to enable tracking with Google Analytics Universal. In January 2022, Google enabled a feature to track conversions automatically using auto-tagging, and in May 2022, it allowed this information to be tracked in Google Analytics 4.
While previously, the conversion tracking was only for clicks on listings within the shopping tab. Auto-tagging for conversions is now enabled on all free and local listings.
If you have not enabled it already, go to Google Merchant Center > Gear Icon > conversion settings > enable and link GA4.
If you have already enabled this, no further action is required.
