Great News With Listing on Google Shopping and 3rd Parties (Amazon, eBay, Etsy)

For many years Google Ads community product experts, including myself, have all informed merchants that if you want to list products on Google Shopping, you could not list on Amazon, eBay, Etsy or any other marketplace at the same time. Otherwise, this would violate a policy called abuse of ad network

Why?

When you list on Amazon, eBay, or Etsy, they too will list your products without your knowledge or approval on Google Shopping. That meant, based on the abuse of ad network, if you would list products on Google Shopping via your website, you would theoretically list an item twice.

Why did I ask this question to our CM’s?

As far back as 2016, I have replied to all questions revolving around this topic that you could not list on Amazon and Google Shopping. And so did other Product Experts. There was just something that did not feel right about this unverified policy. Hence why I asked our CM’s.

As a Google Ads Platinum Product Expert, I get the privilege of asking complicated questions or questions not covered in the policies. After a long month waiting. However we did get weekly updates on the status of the question. Our community manager has finally given us the long-awaited info.

Here is what Google said

If you are an advertiser selling products via your website on Google Shopping and as a partner on a marketplace, and if this marketplace advertises on Google Shopping, this is not considered a duplicate listing.

Great news, right! This is my 2021 New Year gift to all merchants!
