Great news! Google Shopping is now offering free listings. Currently as of writing, this feature is only available in the US. Free listing will be available in the rest of the world within a year.
The shopping tab now looks very similar to the web search tab. Where the ads are at the top and bottom. And organic listings in the center.
There are 20 free listings and 2 * 40 paid shopping ads per page. Alongside the usual 3 text ads at the bottom.
As it just released on the 22nd of April 2020, it is too soon to tell. Looking at the performance graph, it looks like for some there are less paid clicks and for others, it did not change.
Google’s official message: Items are ranked based on relevance to your search terms. Some ads data is used to improve the quality of results.
Essentially, improving your data feed is going to be even more important. Having the ability to edit each product one by one and every single attribute, like you can with FeedArmy is key to success.
Additionally reviews will also play a big part in results.
