Google Merchant Center Logo Update – New Branding Location in 2026

Google has recently made significant changes to how merchants manage their branding within Google Merchant Center. If you’ve been looking for where to upload your logo and can’t find it in the usual place, don’t worry, you’re not alone. The location has moved, and I’m here to guide you through the new process.

What Has Changed?

Last year, I created a comprehensive guide showing you how to add your branding profile within Google Merchant Center. The process was straightforward: navigate to Settings > Business Info, and you could easily update your square and rectangle logos, as well as configure your primary and secondary brand colors.

That location no longer exists for logo management.

The New Logo Upload Location

Google has relocated the branding settings to a more specialized area within Merchant Center. Here’s where you’ll find it now:

Settings → Marketing → Brand → Logo

From this new location, you can upload both your square and rectangle logos for your Google Shopping listings and product feeds.

Important Access Requirements

Here’s something critical that many users have encountered: you must have Admin-level access to see this new section.

If you’re not an admin of the Google Merchant Center account, the Marketing > Brand option simply won’t appear in your navigation menu. This is because the branding settings are directly linked to your Google Business Profile account, which requires elevated permissions.

Access Level Requirements:

  • Minimum Required: Admin access
  • Possibly Required: Super Admin access (depending on account configuration)
  • Standard Users: Cannot access this section

If you’re managing feeds or products for a client and can’t see the Marketing section, you’ll need to request admin access from the account owner.

What About Brand Colors?

Previously, merchants could define their primary and secondary brand colors directly within the Business Info section alongside their logos. Unfortunately, this functionality appears to have been removed or relocated with the recent update.

I’m currently investigating where Google has moved the color configuration options, or whether this feature has been temporarily disabled. I’ll update this article once I have more information about brand color management.
