If you have migrated to Google Merchant Center Next, you might have noticed that you can not add any existing Google sheets, like you could with Google Merchant Center Classic. I am sure when enough people complain about this that Google will add this feature.
In this article, I will explain how to submit an existing Google Sheet. These are alternative options, and are not the best, but at least it works.
Option 1
- Go to data sources
- Click on the supplemental sources tab
- Click on add supplemental product data
- Now we want to select Add prdouct data from a file
- Enter your Google Sheet URL
- You will notice there is an error that says This link doesn’t appear to be valid
- To fix this, you remove everthing after the question mark and append .txt
- Click on continue
- Select your primary feed and click on create data source
Now open your Google Sheet and set the sharing option to anyone with a link.
Now click on update in Google Merchant Center Supplemental Feed
Option 2
You can use the Google Sheet template method and copy your contents of your original sheet.
Simply create your Google Sheet from a template, then copy your contents from your original Google Sheet, to the template Google Sheet.
